I have had my part of fun with WIN95 ;-)
I walked up to someone presenting WIN95 :
I : 'Will it be save to have a DOS 16Bit App running or can it halt the
entire system ?'
He: 'That is absolutely save by now'
I : 'Very interesting, could I try that ?'
He: 'Of course, how ?'
I : 'Please give me an MS-DOS Window'
He does that.
I enter :
debug
a
cli
jmp 0100
g
and step back.
He reaches for his mouse and ... not even the pointer moves. No
taskswitch, no reboot, nothing.
He had to call someone to open the desk the computer was in, to push the
reset button.
Very funny indeed. That made my day after the weak presentation of OS/2
for PowerPC.
Ciao,
Robert
